Creating predictive scoring agents

Use the Scoring Agent wizard to create a predictive scoring agent that calls a scoring configuration on an external scoring server. The agent invokes a Java™ class that supplies input and output values to the scoring configuration. The agent also generates an event that contains the results. A rule or another Java agent can then access the results by listening for the event type.

Before you begin

Before creating a predictive scoring agent, ensure that a scoring configuration has been configured for the stream in IBM® SPSS® Collaboration & Deployment Services Deployment Manager.

About this task

The following figure shows the steps that are required after you create a predictive scoring agent project.

  • Creating a predictive scoring agent project
    Create a Predictive Scoring Agent project that contains a partly completed code template that you can populate.
  • Completing the agent descriptor
    You must complete the agent descriptor (agent.adsc) to define the entity to bind the agent to, the events that the agent processes, and the routing logic.
  • Completing the predictive scoring agent class
    Complete the predictive scoring agent class by adding the required values to the code template generated by the wizard. In addition to completing the class, you must also specify the scoring properties in the solution properties file so that the predictive scoring agent can call the scoring service.
