To consult the product documentation locally, you must
download the documentation files on your computer.
Before you begin
The Local help system option is not checked by default in the Installation
Manager. If you intend to consult the product documentation locally, check this option to install
the local help environment, if it is not already installed.
About this task
To consult the documentation locally, you must first download the documentation files and then
start the local help. The download of the files requires you to have access to the internet. This
access will no longer be required later.
Procedure
- Open the http://public.dhe.ibm.com/software/websphere/dmanager/doc/v880 page.
- Download the ODMv880.zip file.
- Extract the files in
<InstallDir>/doc/usr/content/dmanager/v8r8m0.
- Start the help system in one of the following ways:
In the Start menu, click .
package_group refers to the package group specified in IBM® Installation Manager during
installation.
Run the following script:
A new browser window opens and displays the welcome page. Select IBM Operational Decision Manager
8.8.0 to display the documentation content. To run the
knowledge center in a locale other than English, select your language preference in IBM Knowledge
Center by selecting a language from the list.
Important: If you installed the product on Windows 7 in the
Program Files or Program Files (x86) directory without
administrator privileges, you might not be able to start the help system. To avoid potential issues,
be sure to install the product with administrator rights or in a different directory.
- On the left hand side menu, click IBM Operational Decision Manager 8.8.0
to display the local help content.
Results
The documentation is installed on your computer.
