Stopping the local knowledge center

Before uninstalling the product offerings with Installation Manager, make sure that there is no local instance of the knowledge center running on your computer.

To stop the local knowledge center from the shortcut menu, select Start > All Programs > IBM > Package_Group > Help and Support > Stop Knowledge Center (local). Or run the following script:

• On Windows, run <InstallDir>/doc/bin/stopKC.bat.

• On Linux, run <InstallDir>/doc/bin/stopKC.sh.
