Setting up the Simulation custom data source sample

You use the samples console to deploy this sample.

Before you begin

Before you can use the sample, you must do the following steps:
  1. Start the sample server (see Starting and stopping the sample server).
  2. Run the samples console (see Importing and running tutorials and samples.
Note: On Windows 7, if the product is installed in one of the Program Files or Program Files (x86) directories, you must start the sample server with administrator write privileges. To run the sample server as an administrator, right-click Start server, and then select Run as administrator.

Procedure

To install this sample:

  1. Open the Samples Console perspective.
  2. Click the Samples Commands tab.
  3. Go to Samples Commands > Decision Center > Simulation custom data source.
  4. Double-click deploy to compile and deploy the custom data source code to Rule Execution Server.

    When the build is complete, the console displays a message that the build is successful.
