Opening Rule Designer

You can open Rule Designer from the start menu shortcut, or by starting the Eclipse that contains Rule Designer.

You can open Rule Designer from the start menu shortcut, or by starting the Eclipse that contains Rule Designer.

By default, Rule Designer opens in the locale of your operating system. If you want to change the locale of Rule Designer, see Opening Rule Designer in a specific locale.

Procedure

To open Rule Designer, do one of the following actions:

Results

On IBM AIX® and SUN Solaris, Rule Designer runs in headless Eclipse. This means that you can only start Rule Designer from the command line.

If you have used a previous version of Rule Designer, perform a full clean and then rebuild your existing projects in the Eclipse workspace the first time you start V8.5.1. For more information, see Migrating from JRules V7.
