Creating Log Samples

You can map the Log Sample files with the Source Types in the Eclipse tooling.

Before you begin

Create an Insight Pack Eclipse project.

Define the Source Type for the Log Samples that you are creating.

Copy the sample log files to the logSamples folder.

About this task

Manual changes to the metadata\logsamples.json are overwritten by changes that are made in the Eclipse tooling.

1. Open the Insight Pack editor.
2. Select the Log Samples tab.
3. To create a new Log Sample, click Add.
4. Select a Log Sample from the Log Sample File drop-down menu.
5. Select a Source Type from the Source Type drop-down menu.
6. To save the Log Sample, click Finish.
