SCA Nodes sample

The SCA Nodes sample re-creates a scenario in which a savings account is linked to a current account. The sample shows you how to:

• Transfer money from a current account to a savings account
• Transfer money from a savings account to a current account

The savings account is hosted by WebSphere Process Server. You can extend the sample so that the current account can be hosted by IBM Integration Bus.

The sample uses the SCA nodes to process the transfer requests. The following SCA nodes are used:

• SCAInput node: Receives current account message requests
• SCAReply node: Replies indicating whether the current account transfers were successful
• SCAAsyncRequest node: Sends savings account transfer message requests
• SCAAsyncResponse node: Receives message responses indicating whether the savings account transfers were successful

NOTE: In WebSphere Message Broker Version 8.0 or IBM Integration Bus V9.0 and later, message model schema files contained in libraries are the preferred way to model messages for most data formats, including the new DFDL domain. Message sets continue to be supported, and are required if you use the MRM or IDOC domains. You can continue to import and deploy message sets for use in message flows. However, if you need to create one or more message sets, message definitions, or message categories when using this sample, you must first enable message set development in the IBM Integration Toolkit. You can set up the sample in one of the following ways:

• Import and deploy the sample

  This option imports the sample files into your workspace and deploys the sample to the integration node. This option also sets up additional resources for the sample, for example, WebSphere MQ queues.

• Import the sample

  This option imports the sample files into your workspace. Additional manual steps might be required to configure the sample for testing.

You can import or import and deploy a sample only when you use the information center that is integrated with the IBM Integration Toolkit.

When you have finished with the sample, you can remove it in one of the following ways:

• Remove the sample from the integration node, but leave the resources for the integration node in the workspace
• Remove the sample from the integration node and the workspace
