Pager samples

The Pager samples demonstrate how you can use IBM Integration Bus to implement different styles of messaging.

High level view of how the GUI's in the samples interact

The Text Messenger sample demonstrates point-to-point messaging, in which the sender application knows the destination of the message; the SurfWatch sample demonstrates publish/subscribe messaging, in which the providers (senders) of the information are decoupled from the consumers (receivers) of the information.

This sample is not suitable if you are visually impaired or are unable to use a mouse.

NOTE: In WebSphere Message Broker Version 8.0 and IBM Integration Bus, message model schema files contained in libraries are the preferred way to model messages for most data formats, including the new DFDL domain. Message sets continue to be supported, and are required if you use the MRM or IDOC domains. You can continue to import and deploy message sets for use in message flows. However, if you need to create one or more message sets, message definitions, or message categories when using this sample, you must first enable message set development in the IBM Integration Toolkit. For more information, see Enabling message set development in the IBM Integration Bus documentation.

Import and deploy the Pager samples

Run the Pager samples

You can import or import and deploy a sample only when you use the information center that is integrated with the IBM Integration Toolkit.

Find out what the Pager samples do

When you have finished with the sample, you must first close the Pager, Text Messenger, and Surf Report Publisher applications if they are running. Close these applications before removing the sample from the integration node:
