JMS Nodes sample

The JMS Nodes sample is a message flow sample application that shows how you can use JMSInput nodes as a Java Message Service (JMS) consumer, and JMSOutput nodes as a JMS producer to an external JMS provider. The JMS nodes can be used in both publish/subscribe and point-to-point messaging. For more information about JMS, see the IBM Integration Bus documentation.

The sample uses WebSphere MQ as the JMS provider.

NOTE: In WebSphere Message Broker Version 8.0 and IBM Integration Bus, message model schema files contained in libraries are the preferred way to model messages for most data formats, including the new DFDL domain. Message sets continue to be supported, and are required if you use the MRM or IDOC domains. You can continue to import and deploy message sets for use in message flows. However, if you need to create one or more message sets, message definitions, or message categories when using this sample, you must first enable message set development in the IBM Integration Toolkit. You can set up the sample in one of the following ways:

• Import the sample and create the queues

  This option imports the sample files into your workspace and creates the WebSphere MQ queues that are required for the sample. Additional manual steps are required to configure the sample for testing.

• Import the sample

  This option imports the sample files into your workspace. You must define the queues that are required for the sample and set up the default configuration, activities that are beyond the scope of this sample and are not described in its documentation. Additional manual steps are required to configure the sample for testing.

You can import or import and deploy a sample only when you use the information center that is integrated with the IBM Integration Toolkit.

Extend the sample

When you have finished with the sample you must close and stop any running IPSubscriber instances in order to be able to delete the WebSphere MQ queues. The IPSubscriber instances can be stopped by stopping the integration server called JMSNodeSampleFlowProject from the Integration Nodes view. You can then remove the samples from the integration node by using one of the following links:

• Remove the sample and queues, but leave its resources in the workspace
• Remove the sample, queues, and the resources from the workspace
