Setting up the database tables using SQL Scripts

To make it easier to create the Event and Application tables and associated triggers, pre-configured SQL scripts are supplied to perform these tasks.

Before you start:

Complete the following tasks to set up the database tables:

  1. Switch to the Data Project Explorer view. This is usually found in the lower left corner of the screen. (If this is not present, open the Window menu, found on the toolbar at the top of the toolkit window, select Show View and select Data Project Explorer)
  2. Expand the DatabaseInput Data Design project.
  3. Right-click AdapterMigration_create_tables_<db>.sql where <db> is db2 or oracle and choose Run SQL.
  4. Choose a connection to the database or create a new one following the on-screen instructions, then click Finish.

Note. When you create and access the ADAPTER_ADDRESS, ADAPTER_CUSTOMER, ADAPTER_INVOICE and DBINPUT_EVENTS tables, be aware of the following issues:
