Importing a broker archive file to the IBM Integration Explorer

Before you can deploy resources to your integration nodes (brokers) by using the IBM® Integration Explorer, you must first import a broker archive file into a Broker Archive Folder.

You must have a broker archive file created and available before you can import it into the IBM Integration Explorer.

To import a broker archive file:

Open the IBM Integration Explorer.
You can import a broker archive file into an existing Broker Archive Folder, or create a new one. To create a new Broker Archive Folder:
1. Right-click Broker Archive Files, and click New > Broker Archive Folder. The Broker Archive Folder wizard is displayed.
2. Enter a Broker Archive Folder name, and click Finish.
A new Broker Archive Folder is created with the name you specified in the Broker Archive Folder wizard.
Right-click your Broker Archive Folder, and select Import Broker Archive Files. The Import wizard is displayed.
Click Browse next to the From directory field to select the directory containing your broker archive.
Select the broker archive files that you want to import.
Click Browse next to the Info folder field to select your Broker Archive Folder.
Click Finish. The selected broker archive files are imported into the selected Broker Archive Folder.

You can now deploy your broker archive to your integration node. A copy of the imported broker archive file is created, and placed in the IBM Integration Explorer workspace. If you change the broker archive file outside of the IBM Integration Explorer the changes are not made to the imported broker archive file. The default location on Windows for the IBM Integration Explorer workspace is C:\Documents and Settings\<userid>\IBM\MQ Explorer\<server project>\. Any subsequent changes you make to the broker archive file within the IBM Integration Explorer are made to the version in the IBM Integration Explorer workspace.
