Using a Database Service in a message flow

Use a Database Service with a node in a message flow to automatically configure connectivity to a database.

Before you start:
Note: Currently the Database Service is supported only on a Compute node.

When you create a Database Service you provide a name for the service and, in the Database Service editor, create the required set of operations. When you save the Database Service, the navigator in the Application Development view shows the service and its associated resources (WSDL, XSD and .service files) under the Services category.

You can use the Database Service in a message flow either by dragging the Database Service onto a node, or from a menu action on a node.
