Miscellaneous IP hardware requirements

IPv6 support requires any of the following:
  • Any OSA-Express2, OSA-Express3, OSA-Express4S, and OSA-Express5S feature defined for QDIO mode (OSD)
  • Multipath channel Point-to-Point (MPCPTP) Data Link Control (DLC), which might carry IPv6 traffic over ESCON/FICON, XCF links, and IUTSAMEH.

Use of HiperSockets™ IPv6 support requires at a minimum a z13, Start of changez13sTMEnd of change zEnterprise® , or System z10™ server.

Use of HiperSockets multiple write facility requires a z13, Start of changez13s,End of change zEnterprise, or System z10 server.
