Two VTAM® subarea nodes can be connected using a local area network (LAN) token-ring connection between two NCPs. The NCP/Token Ring Interconnection (NTRI) is used as the LAN connection and is defined to VTAM as a nonswitched SDLC link. Figure 1 illustrates NCP-to-NCP token-ring connection.
