Use of the EAS operand can improve the performance of VTAM® in establishing independent LU sessions. The EAS operand on the LU or CDRSC definition statement estimates the number of concurrent sessions for the logical unit. For performance reasons, if you anticipate that a particular LU might have more than 256 concurrent sessions (the EAS default), increase this number to the nearest multiple of 256.
