Application program-to-application program security on associations

If you want to use security, but do not want DES-based security, the CMIP application programs can define application program-to-application program security. The VTAM® topology agent and the NetView® program do not implement application program-to-application program security. In the following example the associationKey value indicates that the CMIP application programs control access to themselves, rather than CMIP services controlling access to the application programs.
