Receiving data sets in line mode TSO/E z/OS TSO/E Primer SA32-0984-00 |

Receiving data sets is similar to receiving transmitted messages, in that you issue the RECEIVE command. However, it differs because the data set is typically not displayed on your screen. Instead, you see an informational message identifying the name of the data set, and who sent it, and you see a prompting message that asks what you want to do with the data set. For example, if BOB sends you a data set named BOB.NEW.DATA, and
you issue the RECEIVE command, you see:
