Logging on to a computer with TSO/E means starting a TSO/E session and identifying yourself to TSO/E. This chapter discusses ways to log on and gives examples of one logon process. Your installation might have a different logon process. If you find that the examples in this document do not match what is on your display screen, ask someone at your installation to help you log on.

When you log on, TSO/E needs to know who you are and needs proof that you are who you claim to be.
