Repeating a command

It can be time consuming to retype commonly issued commands, especially commands with multiple operands. But as long as a line mode TSO/E command is displayed on the screen, you do not need to retype it to reissue it. You need only make the command be on the current line. The current line in TSO/E is the line on which you entered the most recent character or space.

Thus to make a previous line current, move the cursor to the line and retype a character or a space and press the Enter key.

For example, you can reissue the following command, by moving the cursor to the command and pressing the space bar anywhere on the line.
ALLOC DA(newtest.data) LIKE(test.data)
