- (jobname (jobid))
- specifies the name of the batch job for which you want to know
the status. If two or more jobs have the same job name, the system
displays the status of all the jobs encountered and supplies job IDs
for identification. When more than one job name is included in the
list, the list must be enclosed within parentheses. When you specify
a list of job names, you must separate the job names with standard
delimiters. By default, if you do not specify any job names, you
receive the status of all batch jobs in the system whose job names
consist of your user ID and one identifying character (alphabetic,
numeric, or one of the special characters #, $, or @). The processing
may be different if your installation has replaced the default IBM-supplied
installation exit.
The optional job ID subfield can consist of
1 to 8 alphanumeric characters. The first character must be alphabetic
or one of the special characters (#, $, or @). The
job ID is a unique job identifier assigned by the job entry subsystem
(JES) at the time the job was submitted to the batch system. Currently
the only valid forms of job identifiers (jobid)
assigned by JES are: - JOBnnnnn or Jnnnnnnn - Jobs
- STCnnnnn or Snnnnnnn - Started
Tasks
- TSUnnnnn or Tnnnnnnn - TSO Users
