Using Your Terminal to Display Output From a Program z/OS TSO/E User's Guide SA32-0971-00 |

You can direct output from a program to your terminal by issuing the ALLOCATE command and substituting an asterisk (*) for a data set name. Assume a program you are running defines an output data set with ddname SYSPRT. To send output from the program to the terminal instead of putting it in a data set, enter:
