UNCATALOG Operand

z/OS TSO/E User's Guide

To remove a data set from a catalog after you release it, type the FREE command and specify:
  • The data set name
  • The UNCATALOG operand
Example
To remove the data set associated with file SYSUT2 from a catalog after you release it, enter: 
FREE FILE(sysut2) UNCATALOG
