Server Design z/OS TSO/E Guide to SRPI SA32-0980-00 |
|
Servers provide MVS™ services, data, and resources to requester programs. Therefore, before you write a server, you need to define what output it will provide, and what requester input it will receive. Servers and requesters work in pairs. Each service request must name the corresponding server and service function and must include any input that the server needs. The server must use the input and provide output that the requester can use. For information about writing requesters, refer to IBM® Programmer's Guide to the Server-Requester Programming Interface for the IBM Personal Computer and the IBM 3270 PC. |
