Text insertion, message identifier stripping, and text translation are available to all output messages processed by the PUTGET service routine. For a detailed description of these functions see PUTLINE Message Line Processing.

The PUTGET service routine provides other processing capabilities depending upon whether the message is a mode or a prompt message.
