INVALID DSNTYPE SPECIFIED FOR DDNAME (ddname). DSNTYPE=PIPE IS THE ONLY VALID VALUE WITH PATHNAME

Explanation

The DSNTYPE= keyword must have a value of PIPE when the PATH= keyword is specified on the DD statement.

In the message text:
dsname
The data set name

System action

The SMS VTOC Data Set Services request fails.

Programmer response

Correct the JCL and resubmit the job.
