- If an IMS™ or DB2® subsystem retains a lock, restart that IMS or DB2 subsystem
to clean up the locks.
It can be determined if any IMS or DB2 subsystem
in the data sharing group retains a lock with the MODIFY irlmproc,STATUS,ALLD system
command (where irlmproc is the IRLM associated with IMS or DB2).
- Initiate® a normal shutdown
of all IMS or DB2 subsystems identified with IRLM to cause IRLM
to disconnect from the data sharing group.
- For DB2, the IRLM is normally
auto-started and will stop automatically when DB2 terminates. For IMS and
for DB2 IRLMs that do not auto-stop,
issue the STOP irlmproc system command.
Make sure that
it terminates successfully.
- Deletion of the structure might need to be forced. See Deleting structures with SETXCF FORCE for more information on forcing deletion of persistent
structures with the SETXCF FORCE,STRUCTURE,STRNAME=strname system
command.
