Discarding data in a memory object

Your program can use the IARV64 DISCARDDATA service to tell the system that your program no longer needs the data in certain pages and that the system can free them. Optionally, you can use the CLEAR parameter to clear the area to zeros. You can also use the KEEPREAL parameter to specify whether to free the real frames that back the pages to be discarded.

The RANGLIST parameter provides a list of page ranges, in the following format:
