For storing data, MVS™ offers a program a choice of two
kinds of virtual storage areas for data only: data spaces and hiperspaces.
In making the decision whether to use a hiperspace or data space,
you might have the following questions:
- Does my program need virtual storage outside the address space?
- Which kind of virtual storage is appropriate for my program?
The first part of the chapter helps you make these decisions. Then,
if you decide that one of these virtual storage areas would benefit
your program, use the following information to create, use, and delete
the area:
