Compiling message files

The message compiler creates run-time message files from an install message file. You need to run the message compiler once for each language you install and each time you update the application's install message files. The compiler expects a PDS or a concatenation of PDSs as input. If the compiler cannot process a message skeleton, it issues an error message. It also sets a return code. See Checking the message compiler return codes for a description of compiler return codes.
