On the Control Data Application Selection panel shown in z/OS DFSMSdfp Storage Administration, specify the name of an SCDS and issue the ACTIVATE command from the command line. A Write to Programmer message indicates if the activation is successful, provided you have WTPMSG in the TSO/E PROFILE.
