Creating profiles

To protect an DFSMSrmm resource, you can create a RACF profile as shown in Figure 1.

   RDEFINE FACILITY STGADMIN.EDG.OWNER.HSMATH0 UAC(ALTER)

For the most complete records, create profiles with auditing options that are set to record attempted activities. For example, to ensure that RACF logs all successful and failed attempts to change vital record specifications, create profiles as shown in Figure 2.
