SETCACHE DASDFASTWRITE ON activates DASD fast write for the specified volume. The procedure to activate DASD fast write is:

  1. SETCACHE SUBSYSTEM ON
  2. SETCACHE DEVICE ON
  3. SETCACHE NVS ON
  4. SETCACHE DASDFASTWRITE ON
