You can use the CANCEL command to end processing of the current job step. When you use the CANCEL command, the remainder of the command stream is not processed, including any part of an unprocessed IF-THEN-ELSE statement or DO-END pair. The step ends with a return code in register 15 equal to the highest condition code encountered before the CANCEL command was run.
