Extended remote copy (XRC) and peer-to-peer remote copy (PPRC) are dynamic copy functions. The dynamic copy functions constantly update the secondary copy as applications make changes to the primary data source. If an unrecoverable error occurs at the primary location, you can recover data from the recovery storage system.
