DFSMShsm automatically recalls migrated data when you need it, using DFSMSdss. Whenever DFSMSdss moves a data set to a new device, it automatically converts the data if the different device type requires it. You can also use DFSMSdss to move data between devices of different types or between system-managed volumes and non-system-managed volumes. DFSMSdss automatically converts the data if required.
