ESETL—Ending Sequential Retrieval z/OS DFSMS Using Data Sets SC23-6855-00 |

The ESETL macro directs the system to stop retrieving records from an indexed sequential data set. A new scan limit can then be set, or processing ends. An end-of-data-set indication automatically ends retrieval. An ESETL macro must be run before another SETL macro (described above) using the same DCB is run. Note: If the previous SETL macro completed with an error,
an ESETL macro should be run before another SETL macro.
