Catalog Sharing Protocols

z/OS DFSMS Managing Catalogs

There are three protocols that are used to share catalogs between systems:
  • VVDS mode
  • Enhanced Catalog Sharing (ECS) mode
  • Start of change Record Level Sharing (RLS) mode End of change
