The Catalog Address Space (CAS) automatically connects to the ECS structure in the coupling facility as soon as possible during its initialization. Operator message IEC377I is issued to indicate the success or failure of this action. (You will normally see this message two times during the IPL process.) If your CFRM policy does not have the ECS structure defined, you will receive the "Not Connected" variation of the IEC377I message; this is an informative message and can be ignored. If at any time the connection is lost, you can connect (or disconnect) to (or from) the structure using the MODIFY CATALOG command.
