Entering the ADDSD command to create the profile

z/OS Security Server RACF General User's Guide

To create a generic profile, enter the ADDSD command as follows: 
ADDSD 'profile-name-with-generic-character' UACC(access-authority)
To create a fully-qualified generic profile, enter the ADDSD command as follows: 
ADDSD 'profile-name' UACC(access-authority) GENERIC
Note: Changes to the profile will take effect for other users when they log off and log on again. For additional information, see When data set profile changes take effect.
