>--LEVEL OF JES2-----------------------------------------------><

JES2 warm start processing has read a checkpoint data set that is in a format that is not supported by the current level of JES2. This can happen if an z/OS is warm started with a checkpoint data set that has not been $ACTIVATEd (LEVEL=Z2).

In the message text:
nnnnnnnn
The format of the checkpoint data set.
vvvvvvvv
The level of the JES2 being started.

System action

JES2 terminates.

Operator response

Verify that the correct initialization deck and checkpoint data sets were used to start JES2. If not, restart JES2 with the correct initialization deck and checkpoint data sets. Otherwise, notify the systems programmer.

System programmer response

Review the migration requirements in the JES2 migration notebook for the release being started. Either follow the correct procedure to migrate to the new release or start a different level of JES2.
