Explanation

>>-REPLY‘Y’ TO CONTINUE INITIALIZATION-------------------------->

>--OR ‘N’ TO TERMINATE IN RESPONSE TO--MESSAGE HASPxxx---------><

This message is issued because one of two conditions occurred:
  • The operator requested a cold start of JES2 (see message $HASP436). JES2 prompts the operator to determine if the cold start should continue with the specifications displayed in $HASP436.
  • JES2 has found an error during initialization, and prompts the operator to determine whether initialization should continue.

System action

JES2 waits for the operator to reply.

Operator response

If this message follows $HASP436 and you want JES2 to continue with the cold start using the displayed specifications, reply Y. If you do not want a cold start with the displayed specifications, reply N. JES2 ends.

If this message is issued because of an initialization error, notify the system programmer and reply to this message using the information below.
  • If this message follows the $HASP858/$HASP859 message pair (indicating that JES2 could not find a particular exit routine specified for EXITnnn) and you reply Y, JES2 ignores the missing exit routine and processes any other exit routines specified for EXITnnn.
  • If you reply Y in other cases, JES2 proceeds, replacing the flagged parameter value with the last previously specified legitimate value or with the JES2 default value.
  • If you reply N in any case, JES2 issues message $HASP428 and then ends.

When the short form of the $HASP441 message is issued, identify the highlighted message which precedes this $HASP441 message. When the long form is issued, identify the message specified in the $HASP441 message text (which preceded $HASP441 and is highlighted). For both cases, review the options/consequences listed with the identified message.

System programmer response

If this message is issued because of an initialization error, correct the error as described in the preceding messages.
