>>-OFFLOADn--ERROR READING--FIRST RECORD  –  ------------------->

>--+-DRAINING OFFLOAD DEVICE-+---------------------------------><
   '-SKIPPING FOR JOB HEADER-'

JES2 determined that the first record of the data set it is attempting to reload is not LRECL=80. The probable cause for this failure is that the reload operation was started with an incorrect tape. The message text is variable based on your OFFLOADn VALIDATE= specification.

In the message text:
n
The number of the offload device.

System action

Based on the variable message text, JES2 responds as follows:
DRAINING OFFLOAD DEVICE
Your initialization data set contains or defaults to OFFLOADn VALIDATE=YES, directing JES2 to drain the offload device.
SKIPPING FOR NEXT JOB HEADER
Your initialization data set contains or defaults to OFFLOADn VALIDATE=YES, indicating that JES2 will continue to read the offload data set and continue to pass records to the offload receiver(s). However, the receiver(s) discards records until it encounters a job header; it then continues normal job processing.

Operator response

Ensure that the tape that you have loaded is the first tape of the data set you are reloading. Reload the correct tape and restart the reload operation.
