Explanation
>>-ENTER TERMINATION OPTION------------------------------------><
The JES2 main task encountered an error and
issued message $HASP095 to describe the error. JES2 is stopping because
one of the following occurred:
- There is no JES2 processor recovery routine that can handle this
error.
- JES2 issued message $HASP070 to ask the operator whether JES2
should attempt recovery or end and the operator replied TERMINATE.
- JES2 ran a recovery routine, but the recovery attempt failed.
$HASP098 prompts the operator for an ending option.
This message is preceded by $HASP198.
System action
The system waits for the operator to reply. If
no response is made after 10 minutes, then JES2 will take the default
action of END,DUMP. $HASP065 is issued every 30 seconds to tell the
operator that an automatic response will occur for the WTOR.
Operator response
Enter one of the following:
- END –
- JES2 attempts to stop any attached tasks, informs tasks waiting
on a JES2 function of the error, and then exits from the system. Upon
completion, the $HASP085 message is issued.
- END,DUMP
- JES2 attempts to take a dump followed by end processing.
- END,NOHOTSTART –
- JES2 exits from the system with a reduced amount of clean up,
risking the ability to bring JES2 back up on a hot-start. When processing
completes, message $HASP085 is issued.
- SNAP –
- JES2 produces an indicative snap. See message $HASP088 for a description
of the contents that are displayed. When SNAP processing completes,
message $HASP098 is issued again.
- DUMP –
- JES2 initiates a system dump with a title of:
ABEND cde AT mod1 (start1) + offset1 desc ssss vvv
The fields in the title are:
- cde
- The system (Sxxx) or JES2 ($xxx) abend code.
- mod1
- The JES2 module name.
- start1
- The beginning address of the JES2 module.
- offset1
- The offset into the JES2 module of the failing instruction.
- desc
- The description of the error.
- ssss
- The subsystem name.
- vvv
- The subsystem version number.
- DUMP text –
- JES2 initiates a system dump with the title “text”.
Note: When dump processing completes, this message
is issued again.
