The operator attempted to start the devname device that is specified in the message. The device could not be started because of the reason listed.

In the message text, devname is the device that the operator attempted to start.

In the message text, reason is the following reason for the failure:
MOD=CLASS= value is not valid
A $S OFFLOADx,TYPE=RECEIVE command failed. The offload job receiver specified a MOD=CLASS= value that is either a nonexistent class, or an existing class that is currently set to ACTIVE=NO. The value for MOD=CLASS= must be updated to a valid job class before the offload device can be started.

System action

The start command fails.

Contact your system programmer.

System programmer response

Perform the corrective action described for the applicable reason, and then retry the start command.
