>>-MEMBER sid IS NOW IN z2/z11 CHECKPOINT MODE------------------>

>--OPTSDEF COLD_START_MODE=z2/z11------------------------------->

>--DOES NOT AGREE WITH THE CURRENT--CHECKPOINT MODE------------><

A $ACTIVATE command has been issued to set the JES2 checkpoint into the displayed mode ($ACTIVATE LEVEL). If this is the member where the command is issued, then the checkpoint data sets have been formatted in the new checkpoint mode. If this is another memeber of the MAS, then the message indicates that this member has updated it's data structures and begun reading in the reformatted checkpoint.

The second line, if present, indicates that the OPTSDEF COLD_START_MODE parameter, read when this member was last started, is set to cold start JES2 in a mode different from the current checkpoint mode ($ACTIVATE LEVEL). If a JES2 cold start is done at this time, it will not start in the same mode JES2 is currently running in. IBM recommends that the OPTSDEF COLD_START_MODE value be set to the checkpoint mode JES2 is expected to be running in.

In the message text, sid is the JES2 member name that issued the message
