What translation service is available

The MVS™ message service (MMS) allows $HASP messages to be issued in either U.S. English or Japanese. IBM supplies the Japanese translations that the MMS uses. Similarly, an installation can provide information to translate most messages into any other language. See z/OS MVS Programming: Assembler Services Guide for more information.

However, some messages cannot be translated because of their very nature. Messages such as $HASP000 OK, and messages that consist wholly or mostly of substituted variables, such as $HASP088, cannot be translated.
