Configuring IP security using manual configuration

You can manually create the IP security policy configuration files by coding all of the required statements in a z/OS® UNIX file or MVS™ data set. There are a large number of configuration options provided by IP security policy statements that permit advanced users to carefully fine-tune IP security policy on a per-stack basis. This information describes the procedure for creating an IP security policy by manually creating and editing the configuration files. There are examples that step through the process of creating a configuration file that includes zones corresponding to various security models. For details about the configuration statements and parameters, see the Policy Agent and policy applications topic in z/OS Communications Server: IP Configuration Reference.
