The OSNMPD.DATA statements specify MIB objects and their
values. The format of each statement is:
object_name value
Note: - There can only be one object_name and
associated value per statement.
- The value (if the value is
a display or octet string) is case sensitive and is saved in mixed
case.
- Any display or octet string value that
has imbedded white space must be enclosed in double quotation marks.
For an example, see the sysDescr setting in the sample OSNMPD.DATA
shipped as /usr/lpp/tcpip/samples/osnmpd.data.
- An entry must be contained on one line.
- Sequence numbers are not allowed on the statements.
- Comments begin with either an asterisk (*) or a # character.
Guideline: If an error is detected in processing
an entry and no appropriate default value can be assumed, the entry
is discarded and an error message is written to the syslog daemon.
