SYstem subcommand—Display the operating system name z/OS Communications Server: IP User's Guide and Commands SC27-3662-00 |

PurposeUse the SYstem subcommand to display the name of the remote host operating system. The remote host must have also implemented the SYST subcommand. ParametersThere are no parameters for this subcommand. UsageUse this subcommand to determine
the operating system at the server. The reply from the server has
as its first word one of the system names from the Protocol Numbers
and Assignment Services list for Operating System Names. The names
are maintained by the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority).
For the z/OS® server, the reply
is determined by the current working directory at the server.
