IP Mailer Name : mailername scope

Explanation

The IPMAILERNAME statement in the hlq.SMTP.CONFIG file has been set. Depending on the parameters following the statement, SMTP will modify its behavior regarding when to forward non-local mail destined for the IP network to the IP mailer name specified.

mailername is the fully qualified name of a mail server in the IP network. The length of the string being displayed is limited to 100 characters.

scope indicates whether the IP mail name should be used for all non-local mail destined for the IP network or just mail where the recipient's host is unknown to the domain name servers responding to SMTP queries. Possible values are ALL or UNKNOWN.

See z/OS Communications Server: IP Configuration Reference for more information about the IPMAILERNAME configuration statement.
